We focus on making the maximum positive effort for our community. For example, avoid using mercury-based materials at work, or cover yourself with an adequately enclosed respirator or a mask with mercury vapor and particulate cartridge, as well as all other appropriate safety devices. We provide awareness and resources for this.
Our land restoration and rehabilitation program works well for communities neighboring artisanal mining activities. We are providing sustainable livelihoods to communities through bamboo planting. Scientists discovered that certain plants use their roots to pull potentially toxic contaminants from the soil. The plants then trap and store the toxins in their cells or convert them into less harmful chemicals—plants as useful vectors to reduce environmental toxic arsenic content.
